As part of the infrastructure works for the development, it was proposed to construct a new Road bridge crossing over a watercourse in a ravine (Stream 5). The proposed structure is situated along the southern boundary of Phase I of the development area South Sebastopol is an integral single span highway bridge.
The bridge comprised of 11 precast prestressed beams (MY7). The abutments are founded a spread foundation supported directly on the mudrock.
The project has been completed in 2 phases.
I have been responsible for undertaking the concept, preliminary and detailed design of the bridge. I have prepared the AIP and gained approval from the TAA. During construction I have responded to RFIs and inspected the construction works providing quality assurance.
