Liverpool Street Station CRMS Works
As part of the Crossrail development works at Liverpool Street, the trackside area (Metropolitan Line Platforms 1&2) required modifications of the current cable route management system. The worksite contains an LU signalling relay room and various signalling, telecoms, power and communications equipment and associated cable routes and signalling air-main that needs to be diverted. Also design of a new walkway to improve access and egress between platform and track to support intervention and escape in case of fire.
Discipline Lead responsible for civil/structural engineering services supporting the Contractor (Signalling Contractor).
Works included inspection during Engineering Hours, Assessment of Existing cable route, Preliminary and Detailed Design of proposed cable route management system (permanent and temporary) to facilitate the demolition of the LU signalling relay room and diversion of various signalling, telecoms, power, communications equipment, signalling air-main and associated cable routes.
Also assessment of the existing platform and structural design of a new walkway that will be used as an emergency escape route from Liverpool Street Station Platform 2.
